Phototherapy Wednesday: Two Before the Falls
Skogafoss Waterfall, Iceland

“Skoga” meaning “forest” is the name of the river leading to the falls, and “foss” meaning “the waterfall” are both located in the small village of Skoga, in the south of Iceland. The waterfall is a towering 62 meters and has a width of 25 meters. This is the most famous waterfall among the 21 amazing waterfalls in Iceland. Iceland is the home to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world.

I remember the day I photographed the base of Skogafoss. It was a very wet experience for me. The closer I got to the inlet carved out by the waterfall, the stronger was the windswept mist. I remember within 5 minutes of entering the area, I was drenched. However, my visit was worth every drop of mist that fell upon me. The power of nature is so good for the mind-body and soul. Get out and enjoy.

Remember to take a moment to pause, breathe, and relax. You deserve it!
