me

I am a professional photographer and interior designer, located in New York City. I have a love for the beauty of architecture, design, and travel. I enjoy experiencing different activities such as trying new foods, cycling, and connecting with other cultures. Life for me is all about truly living my dreams in real time.  I am happy to be a global citizen because I have a passion for sharing our diverse, wonderful, and complex world through photography.

bio

Ron Foster – Photographer | Visual Storyteller | Advocate for Change

In 2016, a quiet morning in New York sparked a life-changing reflection: Was I living to my fullest potential? That question led me to resign from a decade-long career in finance and retail and pursue my true calling—photography with purpose.

Armed with a degree in Aviation Business Studies and a minor in History from St. Francis College, I had already explored 40 U.S. states and developed a passion for capturing the world through a lens. But it was international travel—nearly 20 countries and counting—that opened my eyes to the beauty and complexity of humanity, culture, and our planet.

After months of immersive photography training in NYC, I launched my professional journey in late 2016, photographing across Southern Africa and the Middle East. Since then, I’ve used my camera to spotlight global diversity, environmental issues, social justice, and wildlife conservation.

My work has been featured in The New Yorker, National Geographic, Getty Images, Forbes, ABC News, Adobe, The Sun, and more. I’ve lectured at Touro and Berkeley Colleges, exhibited in “Capture the Movement” and “Brooklyn Resist,” and served as a volunteer photographer for the Fort Greene Association. I’m also an ambassador for the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and a member of SCORE NYC and Brooklyn Soloist.

Based in Brooklyn, I continue to document stories of justice and equality, teach photography, and collaborate with changemakers.

“Photography is my passion, and I will continue to share the world’s visual stories.” – Ron Foster
